Why Everyone Thinks They're the Exception, And Why That Belief Keeps You Stuck

If you've ever told yourself "this won't work for me" before even trying, you're not alone, and there's a reason that thought shows up for almost everyone.
Almost everyone who reaches out believes they're the one person this won't work for.
"I don't drink enough for this to be a real problem." "I drink too much, I'm probably too far gone." "My stress is different, it's genuinely worse than most people's." "I'm just built differently."
After ten years and 1,500+ clients, here's what's become clear: these are all versions of the same sentence. And it's never actually about the drinking, the stress, or the circumstances.
It's fear, dressed up as logic. Fear protecting an identity that's gotten very good at explaining why change is for other people, not you.
Naming that is usually the first crack in it.
If this sounds familiar, email Sarah directly and tell her which version of "I'm the exception" you've been telling yourself. She reads every one herself.
